Upcoming Meeting this Wdnesday at City Hall

We are concerned residents that live and/or work in the "areas of influence" proposed in one of the five potential South County Connector Project. http://www.southcountyconnector.com/

Presently, the project team for the South County Connector Project is seeking public feedback on the five proposed plans in order to select one of the plans to proceed with by the end of this year. Our goal is to inform and educate our fellow residents of these proposed plans and to ask them to give voice to their concerns.

The two official public hearing were on June 7th and 9th. A neighborhood meeting is scheduled for this Wednesday June 29th from 5:00-6:00PM at Webster Groves City Hall (4 E. Lockwood at Elm).

Public comments are still be accepted until July 8 at the following location:
John Hicks
St. Louis County Department of
Highways & Traffic
Division of Highway Planning
121 S. Meramec Ave.
Clayton, Missouri 63105
Jhicks@stlouisco.com

Please consider attending the neighborhood meeting this Wednesday (6/29/2011) and have your concerns entered in the public record.

It is a beginning

Welcome to this blog, my name is Tom Hunt and I live on Kuhlman Lane. We may have met when I went around our neighborhood last week giving out maps and response forms. Everyone I spoke to that day and at the meetings held by the St. Louis County Dept. of Highways and Trafic were concerned about our neighborhoods and the impact this project will have. Many individuals gave me their email addresses, I thought this would be a good way to hear from everyone. I sent an invite to every email that I had received that day and since.

Couple of items: We have asked for more actual color maps and response forms from John Hicks who is the Transportation Development Analyst with St. Louis County Dept. of Highways & Traffic. We talked with Mr. Hicks at the meeting in Shrewsbury, and he was very helpful and seems to be the go-to person for information and help.
Also we emailed Gerry Welch, Mayor of Webster Groves, who is now on board and is asking for an additional meeting for Webster residents who were unaware of the impact this project may have.

Please share this blog with anyone and everyone.
Thanks Tom
